Tripp Motorsports Company Profile

Tripp Motorsports is a NASCAR team located in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The driver and motivation behind the team is Perry Tripp.  Perry has 20 years' racing experience in the Midwest running Sprints, Midgets, Modifieds and, most recently, the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Supercar and NASCAR Busch Grand National Series.

In 1992, Perry made the step to the ARCA Series on a limited schedule to lay the foundation to build a professional race team.  In 1994, he finished 2nd in the Rookie-of-the-Year standings competing in 14 of 21 events.   The 1995 season saw Perry finishing 9th in the national point standings followed by a career high 7th in the ARCA Supercar points in 1996, including four top five and nine top ten finishes.  He also led five races that year, including two races at Michigan International Speedway, two races at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the race at Talladega Superspeedway.  That year the team enlisted the services of Bob Rahilly, owner of RAHMOC Racing Engines and former Winston Cup car owner, to help in their quest to become a strong contender in the ARCA Supercar Series.

In 1997, the Tripp Motorsports team relocated from Fredericktown, Missouri, to Charlotte, North Carolina, where we worked closely with General Motors and the Winston Cup teams of Richard Childress, Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing on development of the new SB-2 Chevrolet racing engine.  Perry's NASCAR Busch Grand National debut came in October of '97 when he qualified Ed Whitaker's #7 Monte Carlo at Rockingham.  We teamed up again with Whitaker Racing in 1998 for the inaugural Busch race at Pike's Peak International Raceway in Colorado, and then later to run Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis, where we had a 29th place finish.  Also in '98, Perry worked with Unocal, Fischer Engineering and former Winston Cup car owner Mark Smith to run a 550-mile unleaded fuel test at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

At this point, we are finalizing our plans for future racing seasons.  To make the move to full-time NASCAR racing, we have increased our efforts to locate companies who are seeking to increase brand name awareness via expansion into motorsports marketing.   Motorsports is an extremely powerful marketing tool.  We would appreciate the opportunity to present our three year plan to you.  Tripp Motorsports can provide an excellent opportunity for a company to become involved in the fastest growing sport in America.
